Nuvani Institute

Washington, District Of Columbia 2 comments

The Nuvani Institute (South) is an ornate facade that conceals a wealth of incompetence and ineptitude. It lacks formal class structure, professional instruction, and creates a hostile learning environment (given instructor Carla Clay's unrefined behavior).

Nuvani claims to prepare students to meet minimum state requirements, and even fails at this mediocre task. A professional institute leads by good example; Nuvani counter-intuitively leads in with bad behavior and worse instruction.

Getting in is easy--Wade goes out of his way to ensure this. Getting out of the bad situation is purposely difficult. Consider yourself warned.

Use your favorite search engine to pull up other reports on Nuvani. You'll see the same discouraging experience from other former students. Don't just take my word for it.

This school may have been run the wrong way, but if you did any research the majority of the cosmetology schools in the Austin area are the same!!!This is coming from someone who has been through cosmetology and instructor programs here in Austin.

Like with any education today, you have to go the extra mile and teach yourself. Any student can get hired on as a shampoo tech or as a stylist in a salon onse you have reached a certain number of hours and as long as one of the stylist has an instructors licence. Great Clips seems to have a lot of them. Anyway, go out and get a real education.

These schools are just so you can clock those *** hours and pay an arm and a leg.I sincerely hope you were able to overcome this obstacle and move forward with this career.

Well...the school was run by someone who knew nothing about Cosmetology...Now it has been sold...but..if you want quality Instructors you need to pay them...well...you pay for what you get. This could be a great place with proper instuctors...I feel for the students...
